Vintage 2012 will be remembered, on the whole, as an extraordinary vintage in Tasmania, equal perhaps to the famous vintage of 2005. Growing conditions were simply perfect and produced wines of
outstanding intensity, depth and length. Produced in the traditional Champenoise (Champagne) method from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and aged for over 6 years on lees. The inviting
bouquet features Granny Smith apple and citrus notes, while the palate shows lemon and grapefruit flavours along with a hint of richer apple pie,ending with a crisp and balanced finish of fantastic length. Delicious now, this premium sparkling wine can be cellared in the short to medium time, where it will gain further richness. Now, it is just perfect paired with freshly shucked Tasmanian oysters.
